Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 11, 2026

photoZseo is built so that every seller — regardless of vision, motor or cognitive ability — can capture, optimize and sell product photos on every marketplace. This statement summarizes what we conform to, what we still have to fix, and how to reach us if something blocks you.

Our commitment

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA as the minimum bar for both the photoZseo iOS / iPadOS / macOS app and this website. We treat accessibility as a product requirement, not a checklist — every new feature ships with VoiceOver labels, color-blind safe palettes, and Dynamic Type review.

Conformance status

The photoZseo app and website are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Partial means most content meets the standard but some areas — listed under "Known limitations" below — are still being audited or fixed.

Standards we align with:

  • WCAG 2.1 AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Section 508 (US federal procurement standard)
  • EN 301 549 (European Accessibility Act, EAA — effective June 2025)
  • ADA Title III (US Americans with Disabilities Act, public accommodations)
  • Apple Human Interface Guidelines — Accessibility

Accessibility features in the iOS / iPadOS / macOS app

photoZseo is engineered with the iOS accessibility APIs from day one:

  • VoiceOver fully supported. Every button, image, OCR result and product card has a localized accessibility label. OCR and barcode chips can be tapped to copy by VoiceOver users.
  • Dynamic Type on every screen — text scales up to .accessibility2. Layouts reflow rather than truncate.
  • Color-blind safe palette. Status, badge and category colors are validated against the four common color-vision deficiencies (protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, achromatopsia). 27 automated tests guard contrast and shape-redundancy.
  • WCAG 1.4.11 non-text contrast. All interactive controls meet a 3:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds in both Light and Dark modes.
  • Color is never the only signal. Status changes pair color with an icon, shape or text label.
  • Reduce Motion respected. Animations, parallax and the camera preview tilt are dampened when the OS-level setting is on.
  • RTL layouts are first-class for Arabic, Urdu and Persian — not mirrored heuristics, but hand-tuned screens.
  • Keyboard navigation on iPad and Mac. Tab order, focus rings, keyboard shortcuts and right-click menus throughout.
  • Switch Control compatible — every actionable element is reachable as a single focusable item.
  • Haptic + visual feedback for critical actions (capture, save, delete) so non-audio users don't miss confirmations.
  • Speak Screen and Spoken Content work with all on-screen text.
  • Alt text for exports. photoZseo auto-generates descriptive alt text for every exported product photo — your end customers get an accessible listing, not just you.

Accessibility features on this website

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks: <nav>, <main>, <article>, <footer>
  • Keyboard-navigable throughout — visible focus styles, no keyboard traps
  • ARIA labels on language picker, marketplace strip and decorative SVGs
  • Color contrast meets WCAG AA in both default (dark) presentation
  • Responsive layout from 320 px up — text reflows, never requires horizontal scrolling at 320 px width
  • No autoplaying audio, no animations longer than 5 seconds, no flashing content above the seizure threshold
  • Localized to 12 languages with correct lang and dir attributes
  • Forms (where present) use explicit <label>s and clear error messaging

Compatibility

photoZseo and this website are designed to work with:

  • iOS / iPadOS 17 and later: VoiceOver, Switch Control, Voice Control, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast, Smart Invert
  • macOS 14 and later: VoiceOver, Full Keyboard Access, Zoom
  • Web browsers: Safari 17+, Chrome 120+, Firefox 121+, Edge 120+ — paired with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

Known limitations

We're not perfect yet. The following areas are known gaps; we're working on them and welcome reports of others:

  • Manual end-to-end audit by a third-party accessibility tester is in progress; a full conformance report will be published when complete.
  • Some advanced camera overlays (live ROI rectangles) communicate solely through visual position; a textual VoiceOver announcement is being added in a future release.
  • Older blog posts may use screenshots without comprehensive alt text — we are back-filling.
  • PDF exports (B2B quotes) are tagged for selectable text but not yet fully WCAG 2.1 tagged-PDF compliant. On the roadmap.

Assessment approach

photoZseo accessibility is assessed continuously through:

  • 27 automated tests for color contrast, Dynamic Type clipping and VoiceOver label coverage (CI gated)
  • Manual QA against the WCAG 2.1 AA checklist before every App Store release
  • Real-device testing on iPhone, iPad and Mac with VoiceOver and Voice Control
  • Color-vision simulators (protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia, achromatopsia)
  • Static analysis on every pull request
