photoZseo on Mac: product photo editor with keyboard shortcuts

Edit and export product photos on macOS with native shortcuts, Finder drag-drop and iCloud sync to iPhone and iPad. Built on Mac Catalyst.

For most indie sellers, the bottleneck isn’t shooting product photos — it’s editing them. The iPhone captures studio-quality images all day, but moving them to Amazon, Shopify, Etsy and Trendyol still ends up on a desktop. Until now, that meant Photoshop, Lightroom, or a stack of paid web tools.

photoZseo’s Mac Catalyst build closes that gap. The same app that you’ve been using on iPhone now runs natively on macOS 14+, with the keyboard shortcuts, drag-drop and inspector layout Mac users expect.

What’s actually native on Mac

A Catalyst app done right doesn’t just open in a window. photoZseo on Mac picks up macOS conventions:

  • Keyboard shortcuts: ⌘N for a new project, ⌘E to export, ⌘F to search, ⌘A to select every photo in the grid.
  • Finder integration: Drag one photo, a multi-select or an entire folder onto the project window. photoZseo imports, dedupes by perceptual hash, runs OCR and EXIF in parallel.
  • Right-click context menus: Rename, duplicate, push to a marketplace, copy SEO filename — all from the same menu Mac users already know.
  • 3-pane inspector: Sidebar with projects and contacts on the left, photo grid in the middle, detail panel with EXIF, SEO and pricing on the right. Resize panes the way you would in Finder or Mail.
  • Native window behavior: Full-screen mode, Mission Control, multiple windows, copy-paste of SEO fields into any Mac app.

Why a Mac version matters for sellers

The honest answer is throughput. Tapping through 200 photos on iPhone works for a small Etsy shop. For an Amazon FBA seller listing a new collection on Monday, batch is everything. On Mac, you can:

  1. Drop an entire shoot folder onto photoZseo — 300 photos in, organized by date.
  2. Hit ⌘A then export — every photo gets resized to the 46 marketplace presets at once, with WebP, JPEG and PNG written in parallel.
  3. Push selected products to Shopify with one click — the platform presets feature handles the per-platform spec.

What took an afternoon on a single device now takes the time to brew coffee.

iCloud Drive keeps everything in sync

Move from iPhone in the studio to Mac at the desk without losing a thing. photoZseo syncs through your own iCloud Drive — projects, photos, contacts, quotes, even Recently Deleted items. There’s no third-party account, no Firebase, no analytics layer. Last-write-wins reconciliation handles conflicts; deletes propagate across devices with a 30-day safety net so a wrong tap on iPhone doesn’t permanently lose a photo on Mac.

For sellers who actually live in two places — the studio and the desk — that consistency is the difference between a tool you trust and a tool you don’t.

How it fits the photoZseo workflow

The Mac app isn’t a separate product. It plugs into the same pipeline:

  • Capture on iPhone with the 7-angle template camera.
  • Sync to Mac through iCloud Drive.
  • Bulk import a CSV or XLSX catalog with auto-detection across 41 platform signatures.
  • Auto-fill 13 SEO fields per photo with on-device AI in 12 languages.
  • Export to 46 marketplaces with one keyboard shortcut.

It’s the same app. The Mac just makes the volume work.

Getting started

photoZseo on Mac is part of the universal binary on the App Store. If you’re already subscribed on iPhone, the Mac app unlocks Pro automatically. If you’re new, get early access from the homepage — the iPhone build is in late beta and the Mac version ships alongside it.

For indie sellers who’ve outgrown the phone-only workflow, a real Mac app is what makes the next 1,000 listings possible without burning out.

Frequently asked questions

Is photoZseo a real Mac app or just an iPad app running on macOS?

It's a native Mac Catalyst build with macOS-specific affordances: ⌘N/E/F/A keyboard shortcuts, Finder drag-drop, right-click context menus, a 3-pane inspector and full window resizing. It is not the unmodified iPad binary.

Do I need to buy photoZseo separately for Mac?

No. The same App Store purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. If you subscribe on iPhone, the Mac app unlocks Pro automatically through your Apple ID.

Which macOS versions are supported?

macOS 14 (Sonoma) and later. Mac Catalyst requires a relatively recent system; older Macs running macOS 13 or below won't see the app in the Mac App Store.

Does iCloud sync work between Mac and iPhone in real time?

Sync runs through your own iCloud Drive and is opt-in. Changes propagate within seconds on Wi-Fi using last-write-wins reconciliation. Deleted items are kept in the Recently Deleted folder for 30 days (configurable to 7, 14, 30 or 60) before permanent purge across devices.

Can I drag a folder of photos from Finder straight into a project?

Yes. Drop one photo, a multi-selection or an entire folder onto the project window. photoZseo imports, deduplicates by perceptual hash, and runs the EXIF + SEO pipeline in parallel.
